An 8-Week Program designed to safely get you into the habit of running
This is a running program that is focused on one thing and one thing only - to give you the confidence to add running to your week in order to improve your overall health. We don't promise grand things; you won't be able to run a marathon upon completion of this program. But you will have the tools necessary to continue to include this primal human activity in your weekly workouts. There is simply few exercise options that are as great as running; it is convenient (you can run anywhere), inexpensive (all you need is a good pair of shoes), time efficient (even 20 mins can produce beneficial results) and it makes you feel really good (running releases those feel-good hormones)!
How will we get you running? By simply moving your body, one step at a time. We will go over basic components of proper running form, fixing any habits you may have, gradually increase the amount of time running vs walking, discuss nutrition and the mental aspects of exercise, plus engage in full-body exercises each week to increase your overall body and core strength. You will be on the path to a much fitter you at the conclusion of this 8-week program.
As a running coach and personal trainer, I have helped hundreds of people start running over the years. After taking a break from teaching running techniques for the last few years, I am re-focused and ready to help you start your running program. My outlook is different now and I am eager to pass on the knowledge I have gained by stepping outside of my world and looking at my regular patterns introspectively. I am ready to help you become a healthier person...
